درباره من: Dr.Morteza NAJAFI ASFAD is an international lawyer holding a senior academic appointment as associate professor of international law at university of judicial sciences in Tehran. Born in Mashhad in 1954 he studied law in Iran and faculty of law of Toulouse France). He has ll.B,ll.M and PH.D and he practices law from his law firm in Tehran. with an international reputation as a leading authority in international law and maritime law, he has acted as advocate , arbitrator, legal advisor and expert witness for many local , international companies and few Iranian ministries.
He teaches, directs researches and supervises postgraduate studies in Iran. he is author of several books and numerous articles in learned journals. he works with an group of lawyer and specializing in:

A brief resume of some of the international legal cases pursued by Dr.Morteza Najafi Asfad
1.Participating in the negotiations about the cases brought by Unites States Of America against the Islamic Republic of Iran including the case of Boeing in the part which was related to the company of navigation of Islamic Republic Of Iran. Dr. Najafi was a representative of this company to defend its rights.
2.Pursuing the case of dogly ship, negotiating and preparing written statements in this case and collaboration with the lawyer of the company of navigation of Islamic Republic Of Iran in London. This case was terminated through arbitration in London.
3.Pursing the case of Cape Malls Ship as the lawyer of Iranian part. this ship was confiscated in one of the harbors of Bosporus and Dardanelles in accordance to the writ issued by the eighth branch of public prosecutor's office of Istanbul. due to Dr. Najafi and his colleagues efforts in the field of negotiations and legal action in one of the Iran's courts, the case was prepared for a political decision. though the relations between Islamic Republic Of Iran and Republic Of Turkey were in fragile state, this dispute was resolved peacefully.
4.pursuing the case of Taregh ship in Khouzestan's courts. this ship had left Ommolaghasr of Iraq and was heading for Dubai port through Arvand Rood when it sank because it bad been loaded beyond its standard capacity and some of the cargo which was loaded on the deck made the pumps out of captain's access. this sitution caused an extensive damage to the cargo (dates). due to U.N. security council resolution which restricted traffics to Iraq's ports, this case caused a grave situation. several civil and criminal actions were brought to public and revolutionary courts and the courts stationed in the capital. that part of the case which was undertaken by Dr. Najafi terminated successfully in Khouzestan courts.
